The hotel's setting at the very heart of the palm grove marks the beginning of a new hotel concept. Its horizontal layout ensures that all rooms benefit from direct access to the stunning green areas, as opposed to the traditional carpeted hallways, replacing them with the smell of freshly cut grass or the smoothness of dew on the palm trees. At Huerto del Cura, no two rooms are the same. Each room has it´s own unique style and flavour and is decorated rustically to match the wonderful surroundings. Each bungalow has been refurbished to a high standard in 2010. With 71 rooms (doubles and singles) and 10 junior suites, there is plenty of choice depending on the size of your party and your own particular tastes.

All hotel rooms are laid out resembling bungalows projecting along the path that runs through our garden in conformity with our "horizontal hotel" philosophy. Guests may also enjoy their buffet breakfast outdoors.

The hotel has two restaurants, one to enjoy breakfast, the other for lunch and dinner.

The Els Capellans restaurant is an attraction within itself offering a great place to taste a very exclusive Mediterranean gastronomic menus including a wide range of rice dishes. Apart from their very well stocked wine cellar, the restaurant offers high quality wines from different protected designations of origin. Els Capellans restaurant is characterized by the eclectic trend of its cuisine which includes typically Mediterranean dishes along with imaginative recipes with a different style. The setting of the restaurant within the Huerto del Cura Hotel is truly unique, featuring a garden terrace that offers an unprecedented shelter during summer nights.

In the premises our guests may enjoy the best of both Mediterranean and signature cuisine as the quality of our local products is enhanced towards a unique standard when combined with the expertise and creativity of our chef Luis Jesús Gómez Bedoya who was born in Paris in July 1967. He was trained at the Santander Hospitality School as well as the Santiago de Compostela Advanced School.

After working for over 3 years at different restaurants along the Mediterranean coast, he was appointed head chef at Huerto del Cura Hotel kitchen in 1989. His training has continued during several CDT courses on vacuum cooking, confectionery for restaurants, kitchen management, IT applications as well as taking part in various stages held by some of the most celebrated chefs in Spain.

Our recognised gastronomic experience allows us to offer a stamp of maximum quality when preparing menus for your banquet or event where each plate has been created and studied to satisfy the most exquisite pallet.

We call on a great capacity and variety of rooms that allow us to offer banquets from 30 to 550 people. Our new kitchen has been fitted with all the modern advances to assure optimum quality and freshness in all of our products, independent to the number of guests.

The town of Elx - also known as the palm grove of Europe with more than 400 hectares of palm-tree groves - has a coastline of over 9 km of long beaches, most of which - despite having full facilities - are set in beautiful unspoilt settings. Furthest to the north lie two natural beaches with fine sand and clear waters, plus another, more popular, semiurban beach known as Arenales del Sol. The four beaches further south are more exotic and natural in appearance being delimited by an interesting strip of sand dunes belonging to the Elx-Guardamar sand dune system. These beaches are the perfect setting for water sports, with two diving centres that organise dives off Tabarca Isle and other spots along the Costa Blanca. A golf course complements the sports alternatives.
