stay
The Milenio Hotel was created by the same company that built Huerto del Cura Hotel, a reference within the international tourism sector that reflects the firm's enthusiasm towards nature. The hotel is situated only a few minutes from the Elche's town centre, in the heart of Elche's palm grove declared a World Heritage site in 2000.
A carefully designed interior confers the hotel a warm, cozy ambience where each corner of the building is impregnated by a blend of Mediterranean cultures.
Summing up, the Milenio Hotel could be described as a peace haven in the middle of an urban area.
sleep
The rooms are laid out forming two wings connected through the living area, thus creating a sheltered, intimate space away from external noises and providing beautiful sights to the Moorish patio, the palm grove or the swimming pool.
The rooms in Hotel Milenio are spacious and the hotel feels like a city hotel in the centre of a tropical paradise.
eat
In May 2001 the Milenio Hotel added a new restaurant “La Taula” to its current broad range of services. A place where the Mediterranean gastronomy and exquisite local cuisine will take the lead.
A menu with proposals gathering deeply rooted aromas, essences, flavours and ingredients from the region.
A very well stocked wine cellar consisting of high quality wines from different protected designations of origin. For all the above reasons, and also owing to the surrounding landscape that embellishes the site’s architecture, “La Taula” restaurant is ideally suited to taste the Mediterranean delights while enjoying a great service and comfort.
The Chef, Manuel Álvarez Giménez, was born in Elche, on May 17th, 1974. He was trained at the Santa Pola Hospitality School as well as the Alicante Advanced School (C.D.T).
He took internships at some of the most important restaurants in Alicante province until joining the Huerto del Cura Hotel kitchen in 1998.
Later in 2002 he became the second head chef at the hotel and, owing to his unblemished professional career as well as to the acknowledgement of both clients and superiors alike, he was promoted by the Huerto del Cura Group Management to head chef at the Jardín Milenio Hotel kitchen.
His training continued during several CDT courses on vacuum cooking, confectionery, rices, IT applications, etc.
play
Milenio Hotel is perfect for guests involved in the sports profession, that require great independence and calm during their stay.
The hotel boasts spacious green areas around the building, a swimming pool terrace, an interior Moorish patio, and the palm grove located right opposite the hotel including a conditioned sports circuit. Additionally, the special menues available for sport teams as well as the large, well illuminated dinning rooms make this hotel the perfect choice for any match preparation.
relax
At the hotel you will find a Moorish style patio where elements from both the modern and Rennaissance styles coexist in harmony while trying to grasp the spirit of different eras with small paint strokes. Technology is also here as represented by a distinctive patio water feature.
In this spot, where gardening takes the leading role, the water feature is surrounded by flower plants within the area defined by the cypresses and other Mediterranean shrubs.
Centennial olive trees, cypresses, citrus trees and oleanders, all emphasize the Mediterranean identity of this hotel. Gardening is indeed the subject of special consideration in the premises, although it obviously cannot compete with the magnificent setting of the building.

location
The palm grove that surrounds Elche on three of its sides, has over 300.000 palm trees and, apparently, was sown by the Phoenicians around the year 300 BC. A part of the palm grove, that goes under the name of Huerto del Cura, has become a private garden.
One of the palm trees has four stems growing from its trunk, and it was dedicated to the empress Elizabeth of Austria, who visited the place in 1894.
The first human settlement in the area took place around the year 5000 BC in Alcudia, where in 1897 the Lady of Elche, the bust of an Iberian priestess carved in stone in the 5th century BC, was found; the original remains in the Archaeological Museum in Madrid, although it is possible to see several reproductions spread all around the city.
Saint Mary's Basilica, in Baroque style including a blue dome, was erected in the 17th century, and it provides the perfect setting for the representation of the Misteri of Elche. The Gothic tower of La Calahorra, remainder of the city's defence system, is nearby.
The Elche City Hall clock contains two mechanical figures from the 16th century that strike the hours by hitting some bells.
The museum is located inside the Altamira Palace, also known as the "Alcàsser de la Seyoria". The MAHE (Elche Archaeology and History Museum) introduces a journey along the city's history, from its beginnings to the current times, in an entertaining and interactive way.
The Elche Museum of Paleontology (MUPE) allows the visitor to go through the different stages of life in our planet with the exhibition of findings from several archaeological sites and the dissemination of scientific knowledge acquired over centuries of research.
The original idea for the creation of the Festa Museum was to capture in a certain space and time part of the magic that surrounds the Festa, in order to introduce it to visitors coming to Elche throughout the year. It consists of two rooms: one of them displays the staging and the other one revives the emotion that surrounds this extraordinary representation with the aid of new technologies.
