    20 February 2009 - 24 May 2009 Exploration of Time Exhibit
    The exploration of time exhibit is one of the most unique exhibits in all of Asia.  All things age through time, and this event will intrigue you through aged tree rings and geological formation in rocks and fossils.  Time is a philosophical argument open to perception and interpretation in art and science.  In modern years, we have perfected a measurement by years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds, but others such as Einstein theorizes that time is only relative.   This exhibit will explore the questions and more diverse perspectives leaving you inspired and thoughtful, not only of your trip to Hong Kong, but in deeper realms than you ever expected.  There are 17 interactive exhibits that will allow you to see changes in the universe over time, understand theory and recognize how different forms of life live in each of their own life cycle.  Experience the Heartbeat Clock, the Anechoic Space and the Biological Clock during this once in a lifetime experience.  This is worth leaving the luxury or boutique hotel behind for a day, and come to see such a mind stimulating exhibit located at the Hong Kong Science Museum.

    24 February 2009 - 26 April 2009 Spring Exhibition “Unseen Riches”
    This rare exhibition, “Unseen Riches”, is normally unseen because the larger museums do not have the space to display all of the collection in a way that a visitor can easily understand and digest.  The riches that you will find include China’s millennium long export trade in ceramics, rarely seen paintings and engravings, the development of navigation and maritime meteorology, charts, personal memorabilia and Chinese export silver and lastly postcards and photographs.  All of this will be located at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum on the ground floor or Murray House, a 19th century building that makes for an attraction of it’s own.  This museum is on the water and is part of the Stanley Plaza, a renowned retail complex.  This exhibit has a fine mixture of art, history and maritime pleasures.  While you are experiencing Luxury on land in your boutique hotel, here you will learn about luxuries shipped by the seas.

    Get into the spirit of Hong Kong at the celebration which commemorates the birthday of Tin Hau, the Goddess of the Sea.  Tin Hau is one of the region’s most revered deities.  Here you will  witness locals giving thanks to the goddess’ for her protection through decorating boats with elaborate banners and fervent prayers.  Natives pray the seafarers might continue to receive her blessings of good weather, safe sailing and plentiful fishing harvests.  In addition to the sacred rituals and traditions, you will get to experience the succulent and abundant fresh seafood market.  Witnessing the local people and fisherman visit the numerous temples devoted to the Goddess bearings gifts and offerings is not only historical and moving but highly cultural and inspiring.  Go to the colorful celebrations held in Sai Kung, Yuen Long and the New Territories each with their own spectacles including parades, floats, lion dances, Chinese opera performances, boy scout celebrations, cheerleaders and martial arts exhibits.
