Maspalomas is most famous for its 400 hectares of dramatic sand dunes which stretch all the way to nearby Playa del Inglés but the resort has far more to offer than just this. The wide sandy beach and shallow waters provide a safe haven for families to have fun in the sun. Try one of the many water-sports on offer or sample some of the beach fronted restaurants and bars. Maspalomas has many splendid hotels and residences and is also home to the largest golf club on the island.
Meloneras oozes class and sophistication with an array of luxurious hotels, designer stores, chic jewellers and quality boutiques. The promenade is lined with restaurants offering dishes from all over the world, stylish cafés and trendy bars. Meloneras has its own stretch of sandy beach, which you will find a little more peaceful than its larger neighbours. Evenings here have a tranquil feel, a glass of wine perhaps, enjoying the sunset and live music playing in the background. For a more lively night Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés are situated close-by.
