From February 13 until March 1, 2015, Prince George and northern British Columbia will play host to 2,350 athletes, 950 coaches and officials, up to 4,500 volunteers, hundreds of media and thousands of visitors for the 2015 Canada Winter Games. This event will be the largest multi-sporting and cultural event to ever be held in Prince George and northern British Columbia. The 2015 Canada Winter Games provides northern BC residents with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see future Olympic champions and volunteer with the largest multi-sport competition for young athletes in Canada. Prince George is the first city in British Columbia to host a winter edition of the Canada Games and together with the Official Host First Nation, the Lheidli T'enneh, can’t wait to welcome to athletes from over 800 communities to northern BC. Come out and join in the fun which ranges from: womens hockey, mens hockey, ringette, squash, gymnastics, skiing, skating, archery, snow boarding, curling, biathalon, target shooting and wheel chair basketball.
