Santa fest is a big, bright and beautiful and one of the many vibrant events produced by Sydney Harbour foreshore authority.   • Culture Beats December

     Culture Beats will have something for the whole family to enjoy, including FIESTA, one of the larger Culture Beats programs, which celebrates all things Latin American. FIESTA is Sydney's biggest festival of Latino music, food, dance and culture and will ignite the environs of Darling Harbour.

    The Spring Festival will be on from 6 September 2014 through to 19 October 2014 with the Summer Festival starting on 7 December and continuing to 21 December 2014.Additional events are to be announced for February to May 2015.



  • The Top Gear Festival December

    The Top Gear Festival is all about non-stop action and excitement featuring some ridiculous stunts, races and challenges across the weekend. In addition to all this there will be surprise special guests and of course the Stig, not to mention a healthy dose of competitive spirit between Jeremy, Richard and James with the calamitous mucking about synonymous with the TV programme.


  • The Spire Market December

    The Spire Market returns for a special Christmas event on Saturday 20 December 2014 from 10am to 3pm!

    Held in the hall behind Wild Street Anglican Church, on the corner of Wild St and Hinkler St, Maroubra, this small market event showcases a range of beautiful handmade arts and crafts including bags, candles, soap, jewellery, dolls, cards and more.

    Event-goers can also participate in fun and interactive craft workshops run by friendly stallholders throughout the day.

    Refreshments are also conveniently available onsite.

    The Spire Market is always a great day out - it's a fantastic opportunity to support local artists and businesses and purchase last minute Christmas gifts for loved ones!

    Parking is available on Wild Street outside the church, or further down at Nagel Park.


  • A Very Puppy Christmas December


    Looking for something a little quirky this festive season? Come along to Blacktown Markets on Sunday 21st of December, 2014 and take part in 'A Very Puppy Christmas'! This event will help raise funds for the Animal Welfare League NSW, who will also have volunteers in attendance.

    There are four $250 vouchers from Petbarn up for grabs! All you need to do is dress up your dog, dress up your kids and dress up yourself and have your photo taken at the Say Monkey Photography photo booth.

    There are four categories to enter:

    ☆ Best Dressed Dog Contest

    ☆ Best Dressed Dog & Owner Contest

    ☆ Best Dog & Owner Lookalike Contest

    ☆ Ugliest Dog Contest.

    The photos can be printed on the spot with a gold coin donation to a local animal related cause and the winners will be notified by text message on Christmas Day.

    In addition to the great competition, there will also be a range of dog and pet themed stalls to discover on the day, as well as a huge range of other stalls including food vendors, fashion, collectables and much more.

    Blacktown Markets are located at the The Skyline Drive-in Theatre, Blacktown and run from 7am to 2pm.

    Australia Day celebrations in the Ku-ring-gai area will centre around Bicentennial Park in West Pymble. They will begin with a Citizenship and Awards Ceremony in the afternoon (3.00pm to 5.00pm), which will followed by a free evening concert (5.30pm to 9.00pm). I expect most people will choose to attend the concert part of the event. If you do, expect to see Aboriginal performers Decendance, Lah Lah's Big Live Band from the children's show Lah Lah's Adventures, Simply BushedStephanie Jansen and The Dave White Australian Anthem's Experience.
