The Alba Lodge is located within a traditional terraced town house, just yards from the Charles Rennie Macintosh inspired Glasgow School of Art, offering an excellent base for shopping, sight-seeing, going to the theatre, eating out or visiting some of Glasgow's many night spots not to mention the many other attractions offered by the City. The Alba Lodge also offers excellent transport links to the SECC, Glasgow Airport, the West End and other parts of the city making it the perfect for the business traveller.

Directions by Road
From the north, south or east, leave the M8 motorway at Junction 18 Charing Cross. Note the slip road leaves on the right hand side of the motorway. At the end of the slip road, stay in the left lane, turning left on to Sauchiehall Street at the first set of traffic lights. Turn left and up the incline at Garnett Street then take 1st right on to Renfrew Street. The Alba Lodge is approx 50 yards along on the left.

From the west from Glasgow Airport on the M8, come over the Kingston Bridge and take the exit at junction 19 (City Centre), which will sweep round in a curve over a flyover. Go straight through the first set of lights and take the first left up the hill into Blythswood Street. Just past Blythswood Square, turn left into Bath Street. Follow Bath Street to the lights at Elmbank Street (King's Theatre on the left) and turn right. At the next set of traffic lights turn into Sauchiehall Street and immediately turn left up the hill which is Garnet Street. Take first right into Renfrew Street and we are about 50 yards on the left.

Train
The nearest train station is Charing Cross station which is approximately a 10min walk from the guest house. Charing Cross station is served by the North Clyde Line, and has a regular service from Glasgow Queens Street Station.

Bus
Sauchiehall Street / Charing Cross area is served by a number of bus routes from various parts of the city. For more details on the bus routes check the Traveline Scotland website.

Airport Transfers
From Glasgow Airport, there are a number of options for getting to the Guest House. By far the simplest options are to take an airport transfer bus or a taxi. Bus services from the airport Glasgow City Centre are available from a number of operators (Citylink, Arriva & Fairline). The nearest stop is Bothwell Street which is approximately a 15min walk from the guest house.
