The Heritage Avenida Hotel is a luxurious, four stars (and for the stars... Who knows who you can bump into...???), boutique Hotel conveniently located in the Avenida da Liberdade, the main Avenue that drives your right to downtown Lisbon.
This hotel was designed and decorated by the famous architect Miguel Câncio Martins, who preserved the beauty of the XVIII century façade of the building, kept the balcony of the hold Hermética Herb Shop with its 1,000 drawers, the ashlar, the veranda railings and the Pombaline tiles. He was still capable of creating a warm, comfortable environment throughout the hotel, respecting the architectonic design integrity. The final result was recognized by the “Oscars” of Real Estate in 2008, in the category of Rehabilitation and it was also included in the 2007 Hot List of the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler publication.
The elevator is decorated with pictures from old Lisbon and the floor resembles the typical pedestrian pavement of Lisbon. The elevator’s doors are hand painted with different phrases from famous writers at each of the floors.

There are 40 rooms and a suite at the Heritage Avenida Hotel, decorated with warm browns and windows with a view: if you don’t get a view directly to the most emblematic Avenue of Lisbon, you will get a view to the Elevador do Lavra (Lavra Tram) and if higher up, you will also get a view to the St. Jorge Castle (Castelo de S. Jorge) as well as other important landmarks. The rooms are spacious, have a desk and a chaise longe. The bathrooms have natural light and are decorated in a romantic way that could easily makes us travel back to the Pombaline’s period. In each room you will also find different pictures in black and white characterizing Lisbon, a mini-bar, a DVD/CD player, LCD TV, satellite TV, air-condition, free safe, hairdryer, bath robes and Molton Brown amenities.

At the lobby, a doorman welcomes you into a lounge area with comfortable sofas and a bar: a great place to meet before going out, chill out from your shopping or just to catch up with a conversation. From there, one can take a spiral wooden staircase to the library that offers 2 computers with internet and 2 printers, for needed business presentations, administrative tasks, online check-in and directions as well as a good selection of books, newspapers, magazines, board games and videos that one can also take to his/her room.
