Here, traditional decorative objects are preferred over faddish décor. On the wall of the grand staircase that leads to the hotel’s breakfast room is a stunning enlargement of a small part of a Delacroix painting – a classic look that offers a glimpse of the painter who once lived mere steps from the hotel’s location.

The guestrooms – each of them unique – were conceptualized with the intention of creating a larger version of a traditional loft. Upon entering, guests unexpectedly discover lighting that unveils an authentic, unique artwork that both represents the combination of modernity and sophistication and reflects the neighbourhood’s aesthetic and cultural atmosphere. The light, minimalist design is warmed by the mix of exquisite natural materials that enhance every element of the hotel’s design: fired clay for the walls of the lower level, carved wood for the reception desk, and Murano glass, stucco or even Arabescato marble for the bright, open bathrooms.
