The Edinburgh Mela is a colourful and international festival held at Leith Links to the east of Edinburgh. The Edinburgh Medla Festival is Scotland’s largest intercultural event, and showcases some of the most dazzling performers and performances from international and local groups.
My favourite part of the Edinburgh Mela Festival is the food stalls. You and your family can experience tastes from around the globe. Make sure you don’t eat before coming along. Plus, there are many international craft stalls to pick up gifts for yourself – or for someone else, I guess.
Although the Edinburgh Mela has been around for many years (founded in 1995), over the past few years it has grown to become a major player in Edinburgh’s busy festival calendar.
