I love serviced apartments as they offer some kind of psychological freedom which hotels don’t (for me anyway!). Just a pity I always forget to investigate them before travelling usually.

  3. Ian Jamieson says:

Thanks for the Comment, Ben. Yes, serviced apartments are good for business travel, the space feels more like your own. Families like them too as you can keep the kids in their evening routine.

  4. Generally all the hotels provide the same atmosphere and so staying in a hotel can be very draining experience. There’s an inherent uniformity to the layout, style and atmosphere of almost any hotel. With serviced apartments, every place is unique. There are additional facilities at your disposal, including extra living areas and even kitchens, which all go together to make them a real home away from home.

  5. Ian Jamieson says:

Hi, thank you for your Comments. I agree, serviced apartments can feel like a home away from home. I have seen a huge swing across Scotland towards service apartments.

The problem arises when unprofessional serviced apartment companies provide guests with a poor service, this puts people off using serviced apartments again, switching back to hotels. That’s why it’s important to know what you are booking by using a local agent.

    Thanks again,
