There’s so much going on in Edinburgh and it’s such a walkable city that it’s often nice in the evening to take time out and recover from the day’s efforts. A great way to unwind is in the bath.
In today’s Blog I bring you Hotel Rooms In Edinburgh With A Lovely Big Bath. These are not standard hotel baths, we are talking elegant freestanding baths here – rolltops, slippers, bateau and boat baths. Sit back and relax.
Channings Hotel feels like a country house but it’s in urban Edinburgh. The hotel has its own private gardens which many of the rooms look over. The hotel has 46 individually decorated bedrooms, which include three suites and a four-poster bedroom. Guest can choose rooms with a slipper roll top bath, or Jacuzzi. Or treat yourselves and take a room with a luxurious four-poster bed and bathe in an oval bath designed for two. Sublime.
The Howard – the beauty of the baths in The Howard is that you don’t even have to run them yourself. The Howard has a team of butlers who will look after you every need, including running your bath for you. Pass me the loofah, please.
The Scotsman – sometimes I find having a big roll top bath is just not enough. Sometimes I need a bath in a room with a turret. Well, if you are like me then book an Editors Room at The Scotsman Hotel in the Old Town. Not only do you get a turret but you get amazing views of Princes Street, original oak paneling, and an ornamental fireplace.
Hotel du Vin does luxury with ease and elegance. The hotel is a relatively recent addition to Edinburgh and has been met with fantastic reviews. The hotel building used to be a mental asylum in the early 19th century, and today you’d have to be mad not to stay here – nice link. Bathrooms are decorated in wonderfully rich colours and textiles to make your bathing experience memorable.
