The Royal Highland Show 2012 at the Royal Highland Centre, attracted more than 180,000 visitors to this agricultural extravaganza! This fascinating event covers 4 days and offers something for seasoned farmers and young families alike.
With this many people coming to the same area at the same time, it’s important to book your accommodation as soon as possible to find availability and affordable rates.
Below I reveal some of the local hotels that are in very short distance from the RHS 2013
Quality Hotel Edinburgh Airport – this 3-star hotel is a firm family favourite. All bedrooms offer en-suite facilities with modern comforts, complimentary overnight car parking, and airport shuttle service.
Hilton Edinburgh Airport -this is the hotel closest to the airport, just a wee bit closer than than the Quality Hotel. Facilities are what you would expect from a 4-star Hilton. Rooms are very comfortable and service is 1st Class.
Norton House Hotel & Spa offers luxury in the countryside and is only a 10 minute drive from the airport. Norton House Hotel Edinburgh offers the three Rosette Restaurant in Edinburgh and the popular contemporary Brasserie in Edinburgh. The spa is a great place to relax before taking off, or just after landing.
Novotel Edinburgh Park is a relatively new hotel and has all the mod cons to go with it. This hotel is aimed at corporate travellers but ideal for families too. There’s great transport links from the hotel. Planes, trains, buses and automobiles are all nearby.
Dakota Forth Bridge -further to the north of Edinburgh airport and, not surprisingly near the Forth Road Bridge, is the Dakota Forth Bridge Hotel. The hotel is about 15 mins from the airport and offers a lot of style and elegance to guests. Rooms are hip and the restaurant is excellent. The hotel is a great place to stay if you need to get on the road early the next day.
